We all love to travel, don’t we?
But sometimes travelling means we’ve got to sacrifice on our diet because of all the good food!
We know the struggle because we’ve been through that ourselves.
That’s why we’ve gathered 3 of the best tips from experts on how to stay lean while travelling
1. Exercising in your hotel room
Wake up earlier before your day starts to do a simple workout in your hotel room. If you have access to the gym or swimming pool, that’s even better! With Wi-Fi available, you can find a good workout on YouTube in mere seconds.
Here’s one we made that’s quick and easy to do even in a small room!
Another simple way is to walk more. Instead of using Grab or Gojek to go around, travel by foot more.
Walking together with your family and friends will surely create fun memories while possibly getting lost in the process. Remember, always stay safe!
2. Stretch your diet
We know how tempting it is to try out the other country’s McDonalds. Or to eat the instant noodles you found at the local 7-11 for supper every night. Too much of that and you’ll be losing track of your diet plan.
What you can do is to stretch out those “unhealthy” foods into several different days while balancing your diet with nutrient-dense and hearty and will make you full for long hours. This will allow you to eat the foods you like but still keep you in shape.
For example, during breakfast, you could make oatmeal with fruits in your own hotel room. You can order meals in restaurants for lunch and dinner that have the staple: Meat, veggies and a carbohydrate source.
It is best if you consume lesser fried or sugary treats. Try to avoid supper if you can!
3. Waist train on the go
Put on your waist trainer and you’ll find yourself in better control of your diet. Since waist trainers are wrapped around your midsection, they help to reduce your appetite. You'll soon discover that you won't feel as bloated anymore!
Coupled with exercising, waist trainers can help amplify the fat burning process around your tummy by creating a sauna-like effect around your midsection. This is due to thermogenesis, which helps to break down stubborn fat.
